What Tailwind is

Tailwind shows pregame +EV prices at slower books on selections where your sharp books just moved the same way, with each move and when the slower book set its price.

The idea

Sharp books often move first, and slower books can take a while to catch up. Tailwind lists pregame prices where that gap is showing right now: your sharp books have moved toward a selection, and a slower book still offers a price with positive expected value.

A move does not mean a bet will win. It shows what the market did, and the price may be gone by the time you reach the book.

Tailwind is pregame only and is included with Premium.

Reading a play

  • Sharp move. The logos of the sharp books that moved, the largest move in points of implied probability, and how long ago the latest move happened.
  • Price. The price and sportsbook you can take now, with how long that sportsbook has held the price. A price set after the sharp move means the book has already reacted.
  • EV. The expected value of the price against the sharp market.

Open a play to see each sharp book's old price, new price, move and time, the prices across books, and the line history chart, which opens on your Moved Within window and shows only that sportsbook and the sharp books that moved.

Sorting

Plays sort by EV unless you choose otherwise. Biggest move puts the largest sharp move first, Most recent the latest sharp move, and Most sharps the plays where the most sharp books moved. Your choice stays on this device.

Filters

  • Moved Within. How recent a move must be: 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes.
  • Move Size. How far a sharp book must have moved: 1, 2, 3 or 5 points of implied probability.
  • Sharps Moving. How many of your sharp books must have moved the same way: 1, 2 or 3.
  • Sharp Books. Which books count as sharp. A book never counts as a move on its own price.

Sportsbooks, Leagues, Markets, Odds and Date Range work as they do on other tools. Tailwind's filters are its own, so changing them does not change Positive EV.
