What the Odds Screen is

The Odds Screen is a live cross-book odds grid. You pick a league, an event (or a timeframe), and a market, and it fetches the current price from every book in your selection and lays them out in columns so you can compare at a glance. It does not surface +EV recommendations, but any price can be expanded into a bet details panel where you can compare the market, chart the line's history, add the bet to the Bet Tracker, or report a bad line. Its purpose is line shopping: seeing where the best number is before you open a book app.

The search toolbar

Three fields drive every query:

• League — the competition (e.g. NBA, NFL, English Premier League). Leagues are grouped by sport so you can scan quickly.
• Event / Timeframe — either a specific match or a date-range quick select (Today, Tomorrow, and similar). Selecting a specific event also shows how many prices are available for each market.
• Market — the bet type within that event: moneyline, spread, total, player props, team props, and so on. Markets are grouped by type. For player-prop markets a fourth Player field appears so you can filter to a single player's lines. Player selection follows the athlete's canonical registry identity, so prices remain together even when sportsbooks use different spellings.

Once all required fields are filled, the grid loads automatically on desktop and refreshes every 30 seconds. A thin loading bar below the toolbar shows when a refresh is in progress.

Reading the grid

Each row represents one selection (a side, a player over/under, a line value) within the chosen market. The leftmost columns are always pinned:

• Selection — the name of the outcome, including the line value for spreads and totals.
• BEST — the highest available price across all your selected books, displayed in your preferred odds format (American, decimal, or fractional). The book icon beside it identifies where that price lives.
• AVG — the simple arithmetic mean of all prices currently available. Comparing BEST to AVG tells you how much better the top book is than the field.

After those fixed columns, one column appears per book in your selection. Each cell shows the book's current price. If a book has no line for that selection the cell is blank. The book posting the best price is highlighted in that row so you can spot it without reading every number.

Every price in the grid (BEST, AVG, and each book's cell) is clickable, and clicking it opens the bet details panel for that selection (see below).

When a book reports a maximum bet size for a price (typically betting exchanges and other liquidity-limited books), that amount appears in small text under the odds (for example, $2.9k means you can place up to $2,900 at that price). The BEST column shows the max bet size of the book holding the best price. Most traditional sportsbooks do not publish limits, so their cells show the price alone.

For markets that carry alternate lines (different spread or total values), an ALT button appears on the event row. Clicking it opens the alternate lines panel, which shows prices across all available point values for that selection.

For player-prop and team-prop markets the grid adds a sub-group row per player or team, then lists their available lines underneath. Both use canonical registry identity rather than the displayed name, so capitalization, abbreviations, surname-first labels, city-only or nickname-only team names, and other sportsbook naming differences do not split one athlete or team into several rows. All groups and sub-groups can be expanded or collapsed individually or all at once via the Rows menu in the column header.

Bet details

Clicking any price opens the bet details view for the price you clicked: a panel that slides in from the right on desktop and a bottom drawer on mobile. It has the same layout as the expanded bet view in the other tools:

• Summary: the market, the bet name, and the price you clicked with the book posting it - a book's cell shows that book's price, and the BEST and AVG columns show the best price. On a market with alternate lines the bet name carries the point value that book is on, which can differ from the row's headline line. The price links straight to that book's bet slip where a link is available. Below it sit the average price across books and, when the book publishes one, its maximum bet size.
• Take and flag: the add button records the bet in the Bet Tracker at that book's price (you can adjust odds and stake before saving), and the flag button reports a bad or stale line to us.
• Market view / Line history: under the event header, a toggle switches between the Market view, which lists every book's current price for this exact line, and the Line history chart, which plots how each book's price has moved. The refresh button re-fetches whichever view is open.

Clicking the same price again, pressing Escape, or clicking the panel icon in the top-right corner closes the panel. Clicking a different price switches the panel to that price, including another book's price for the same selection. The bet details view is also available from the alternate lines drawer: clicking any price on the ladder opens it for that point value.

Managing columns

Book columns are draggable: click and drag a header to reorder them. To remove a book from the current view hover its header and click the small × that appears. To add books back or change the full selection open the settings panel (the gear icon to the left of the toolbar).

After reordering you can Save Order to make that arrangement the default, Discard Changes to go back to your saved order, or Order Columns A-Z to sort alphabetically. The column menu also provides a fullscreen toggle on wider screens.

Line shopping with the Odds Screen

Line shopping means checking multiple books for the same bet and taking the best available number. Even a small difference — moving from −110 to −105, or from +150 to +155 — compounds significantly over hundreds of bets. The Odds Screen makes the comparison mechanical: once you have chosen your event and market, the BEST column shows the book to open and the AVG column gives you a feel for whether that best number is genuinely outlying or just the top of a tight cluster.
