Bet grading & outcomes
How the Bet Tracker automatically settles your wagers — which market types it covers, what each status means, and how to override or report a result.
How auto-settlement works
When a game finishes, the Bet Tracker grades your wager automatically. The pipeline has two stages. First, a per-leg grading job matches each leg of your wager against the event result and writes a leg-level status. Second, a rollup step reads all the leg statuses together and derives a single wager-level outcome — the status and signed profit you see on the card.
The autograder covers moneyline, spread, total, and player over/under markets, as well as combo props such as points + rebounds + assists (PRA). For parlays, rollup combines the surviving legs' results. For fantasy slips, rollup maps the number of winning picks against the payout tier table that was snapshotted when you took the slip.
One rollup rule to know: a parlay with any losing leg settles as a loss immediately, without waiting for the remaining legs to finish. This is always a guaranteed loss — the early settlement never marks a wager as lost if it could still win.
Statuses
Every wager carries one of the following statuses.
- Pending — the game has not finished yet, or the autograder has not yet received the result. Your wager is not included in profit or ROI totals until it settles.
- Ungraded — displayed on any wager that is still showing as pending after the game is marked finished. This is a prompt to grade the leg manually (see below).
- Won — the wager graded in your favour. Profit is credited as
stake × (odds − 1)for standard bets; free bets cap the upside at the winning return only (no stake refunded on a loss means no stake added back on a win). - Lost — the wager graded against you. The signed profit recorded is
−stakefor real-money bets and0for free bets. - Push — the result landed exactly on the line. Your stake is returned; profit is recorded as
0. - Void — the leg or wager was cancelled (event postponed, market withdrawn, etc.). Profit is recorded as
0. - Cashed Out — a placeholder status in the system; there is no autograder support for cashouts at this time. Use Manual Override to record a cashout result.
Parlay pushes
When a leg in a parlay pushes, that leg drops out and the remaining legs are recombined at their original odds. The wager does not void — it shrinks. If every leg pushes, the wager settles as a push.
Grading legs manually
You do not have to hunt for ungraded wagers. When finished games from the last two weeks still have open wagers, an alert appears on your home dashboard under the profit chart — "5 bets need grading" — and tapping it opens the Bet Tracker filtered to exactly those wagers. Inside the tracker, the Needs grading toggle applies the same filter at any time, with a live count of how many are waiting.
If a wager shows as Ungraded — meaning the game is finished but the status is still pending — you can grade it yourself. On a single wager, tap the status badge to open a dropdown with options to mark the leg as Won, Lost, or Push. Rollup fires immediately after you save, and the wager status updates.
On a parlay or fantasy slip, each leg has its own status control. Grading any leg triggers a rollup across all legs. You do not need to grade every leg individually to settle a parlay — as soon as a provably terminal result is reached (for example, one leg lost), rollup settles the wager.
Manual override
If auto-settlement produces the wrong result — for example, the book graded you differently, a dead heat applied, or you accepted a cashout — you can pin the outcome directly. Open the wager options and choose Settle Manually (on parlays and fantasy slips, clicking the rolled-up status badge opens this dialog). You enter a result (Won, Lost, Push, or Void) and a net profit figure. Use a negative number to record a loss.
Once a manual override is saved, it is sticky: the autograder and rollup will not touch that wager again. If a leg grades later for a manually overridden parlay, the leg status updates in the background, but the wager-level outcome you pinned is preserved.
Reporting a grading issue
If a wager graded incorrectly and the error looks like a data problem rather than a one-off book quirk, you can submit a report. Tap Flag as Incorrect (on desktop) or Report Incorrect (on mobile) from the leg status menu. A form lets you select the correct status and add a short description of what the actual result was. The report is sent to SmartStake for review. Use Manual Override in the meantime so the wager settles correctly in your tracker while the issue is investigated.
